Ik Multimedia Arc Studio Advanced Room Correction System
Overview
ARC Studio is an acoustic correction solution for professional stereo monitoring systems combining the ARC Studio processor, ARC3 software, and ARC MEMS measurement microphone. A room can have a big impact on how you hear your music. Walls, furniture, and other objects reflect and absorb sound, changing the frequency balance and stereo imaging and causing your carefully balanced mix to fall apart in other spaces. ARC Studio measures and corrects these issues, ensuring your work translates properly everywhere. Using a stand-alone processor, this correction can be applied in any studio, including hardware- and consolebased ones; and applied to all sound sources without regard for DAW or operating system limitations. Work faster and more freely, confident you’re hearing your music itself and that your work will sound great everywhere.
HOW IT WORKS
Measure your acoustic space using the ARC3 software and the ARC MEMS measurement microphone connected to any audio interface with at least one phantom-powered microphone input. The ARC3 software guides users step-by-step through a series of measurements across your listening position - with ARC’s flexible placement options you’ll be done in less than 10 minutes, and can be repeated for multiple pairs of monitors or listening positions. Once the measurement process is complete, the correction filters are transferred to the ARC Studio hardware for latency-free correction. From now on, the unit works completely stand-alone, while still letting you switch between monitors and presets. And with updateable firmware, ARC Studio offers a future-proof solution that will work for years to come.
- 32-bit A/D/D/A conversion with 96kHz internal sampling rate
- Superb analog audio quality ESS high-end converters to deliver >120 dB dynamic range, ultra-low THD and jitter
- USB-C connection to transfer filters and presets (can be left connected or unplugged)
- Studio-grade balanced XLR audio I/O
For every kind of studio
A powerful stand-alone correction solution suitable for every audio production environment, including:
• Radio/TV broadcast studios - easily audition how audio will sound on multiple systems, even live
• Video production - full range correction is ideal for mixing dialog, music and sound FX • Content creation rigs - powerful enough to correct even fully-untreated or make-shift studio spaces
• DAW-based studios - a set and forget hardware solution that doesn't affect CPU usage and doesn’t need to be bypassed
• Pro Tools HDX-based studios - preserves zero-latency monitoring setups
• Console-based studios - apply correction even when mixing outside the box
Take everything under control and speed up your workflow
ARC Studio connects via USB-c to your computer to let you quickly and easily control directly from your desktop all the features of the ARC Studio Hardware.
• Swap between different X-Monitor virtual monitorings profiles
• Adjust the sweet spot for clients or different setups, choosing between measurements of multiple monitors and listening positions
• Turn ON/OFF the room correction
• Select Natural or Linear phase modes to ensure precise stereo imaging.
• Define both upper and lower frequency correction ranges separately
• Adjust the resolution of the correction filter
