The Gibraltar 6711S from DW is a single bass drum pedal with a dual-chain system, a dual-surface bass drum beater for better balance, and a dual-bearing CAM system which affixes its chained drive section to the beater head. The beater itself weighs 3.2 oz (90 g) and thus is capable of delivering a sizable thump whilst beating. Its spring tension is conveniently adjustable via any drum-key, and its stabilizer plates are fashioned with spring-loaded spurs and hook-and-loop fasteners. The pedal offers a cast frame and a textured, black finish.
